July 4th Roundup

Ann Coulter is a plagiarist? No! I can’t believe it!

Murray Waas writes another surprising piece, this time alleging that the President directed Cheney to lead a campaign to discredit Joe Wilson by leaking classified information.

Michelle Malkin may be the wackiest right-wing commentator there is. Check out her latest appearance on O’Reilly. Or read this quote regarding the “scandalous” publishing of pictures and Cheney and Rumsfeld’s houses: “What news value and journalistic end was served by publishing the Cheney/Rumsfeld vacation home piece and the accompanying photo? 'Because Rumsfeld gave permission' may cut it with the moonbats and fairweather privocrats. Not with me.”

You are batshit crazy, Michelle, and the perpetual murder plots you see in the minds of the editors of the New York Times is increasingly becoming irritating and not funny anymore.

We all know, by now, that the people around the world have a lowered opinion of the United States in recent years. It gets worse: they even hate us in Britain. According to the poll, “the poll found that only 12 percent of Britons trust them to act wisely on the global stage. This is half the number who had faith in the Vietnam-scarred White House of 1975.” President Bush? “…one percent rating him a "great leader" against 77 percent who deemed him a "pretty poor" or "terrible" leader.” How about US foreign policy? “More than two-thirds who offered an opinion said America is essentially an imperial power seeking world domination.”

D’OH! Let me tell you, you have to be a pretty amazingly inept president to piss Britain off. That’s right next to angering Canada and Australia as the #1 sign that you are conducting an amazingly belligerent foreign policy. The good news is that the poll seems to show that the British have a more favorable view of the American people than of our current government.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July.
